TOPOLOGY

All backbone traffic is broadcast over ender modems on the FNP channels:

  6400  commands, discovery, heartbeats
  6401  telemetry pushes
  6402  nav pad / macro console input
  6490  display wall tile data

NODE STATES

  online   - heartbeat within the last 3 intervals
  stale    - silent for 3-6 intervals (chunk unloaded? congestion?)
  offline  - silent for 6+ intervals

ADDING A NODE

1. Install a computer + modem (ender modem for backbone reach).
2. Run the installer, then edit /factoryos/node.cfg - set a unique
   name, its role, its facility, and the shared token.
3. Reboot. The node announces itself; NODES app picks it up within
   one heartbeat.

If a node stays offline but the computer runs: its chunk is probably
unloaded. Install a chunk-loading anchor on critical machines.
