# Welcome to FactoryOS

FactoryOS is a distributed control system. Every screen you see is driven by
real computers reporting over the FactoryOS Node Protocol (FNP).

NAVIGATION

Use the nav pad (or arrow keys on this terminal):

  UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT - move the highlight between controls
  ENTER              - activate the highlighted control
  BACK               - close a window or go back

CONSOLES

The small monitors at the operator station are macro consoles. They send
registered actions to the mainframe - open apps, jump home, or fire
configured commands. Buttons marked for confirmation need two taps.

APPS

  NODES   - every computer FactoryOS knows about, live state
  POWER   - energy storage, charge level, and net flow
